NEWH Scholarship for College Students Majoring

Scholarship for College Founded in 1984, NEWH is an international non-profit organization, with 19 chapters and many affiliated areas, which links professionals from every facet of the hospitality industry and related fields. To date, NEWH has given $2,200,000.00 USD in Scholarship for College to young people wishing to pursue careers in the hospitality industry.One of the objectives of NEWH is to promote scholarship and education of and interest in the Hospitality Industry. To that end, each Chapter is tasked with fundraising to provide scholarships for young people wishing to enter the Hospitality Industry and related fields.
Scholarship for College are awarded annually, based on the financial ability of the Chapter to fund such scholarship awards. Scholarship types are the Community College, or their equivalents, and the Baccalaureate College and are for students majoring in the Hospitality, Foodservice or related fields.

International PhD Scholarship for College

The Scholarship for College is valid for a maximum of 3 years for a doctorate (of MPhil) [subject to the satisfactory progress] and is open to international applicants only. UK / EU applicants are not eligible. The grant will be £ 15.000 to provide for the cost of international tuition over 3 years. Manufacturing limitations and operational burdens placed rotor blades for wind turbines lead to fatigue and a shortened life span. The Scholarship for College emergence of flexibility aeroelastic blades (instead of fixed forms) advantages to enhance the fatigue, but challenges in the characterization of the geometric structure and aerodynamics. Wind tunnel tests do not adjust well to real life meter so that the fundamental understanding of the underlying physics is necessary if large innovative flexible blades need to be modeled successfully.
In this context, major
Scholarship for College objectives:
1. The development of structural dynamic models and nonlinear FEM strong for the turbine blades or with the full effects can, for example, of flexible blades complex composite sandwich laminates and composite skins and bands;
2.The development of advanced models on the aerodynamics of the rotor and the blade, BEM for 3D CFD rotor models, models in a free and improved models of the type;
3. The progress of the numerical simulation of mathematical models for the complex problems of fluid-structure interaction play a key role in the design of wind turbine blade, which also has a fundamental tool for a better understanding of the physics under-predicate;
4. To calculate the torque and thrust on the turbine under wind speed and geometry of the rotor and thus differs from the prediction of the strength of materials in a different environment needs and minimize the damage the rotor.
5. To predict, to load the rotor speed on the variation of wind speed, the geometry of the rotor and the rotor. And to simulate transient and steady-state motions of the rotor, then optimize the shape of the rotor blade and thus to maximize the power capacity.

PhD Scholarships for College Position in the Theoretical Nanoelectronics Group

The Scholarships for College basic aim is to develop a theoretical methodology and use it to calculate electronic transport properties and the effect of electronic current at the atomic scale in nano-conductors. In this project we especially wish to focus on the current-induced excited atomic dynamics in molecular-scale contacts.Our target is to model and predict the outcome of concrete experimental situations using first principles calculations based on density functional theory and non-equilibrium Greens function techniques.A Scholarships for College strong background (MSc. or comparable qualification) in theoretical physics, chemistry, or materials science is a prerequisite for the employment. Previous experience with theoretical nano-science, solid-state physics, quantum chemistry, and scientific computing represents an advantage.

The PhD Scholarships for College is subject to academic approval and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies.
